Builder’s-grade carpeting throughout the lower level was replaced with green-toned slate tiles with radiant heat. Playing off the strong statement made by the client’s existing rug, Gracious Living created a comfortable, durable media room that works as a kids’ hangout while appealing to grownup tastes as well. A durable leather sofa and loveseat and distressed-finish tables provide feet-up comfort. The grouping faces a flat screen TV above a fireplace, flanked by built-in bookcases (not shown). Furniture was positioned to allow easy passage through the room to an adjacent sunroom/wet bar. The antique model canoe collection on the wall was a Gracious Living find.
